Has anyone tried Text-Link-Ads I think it is better than PPC because it is a flat price per ad for a 30 day ad run so no matter how many time people click on your add you only pay one fee. Right now they are offering $100.00 in free text link ads for new customers.

You can also sell ad space on your site like adsense. I'm going to give it a shot on one of my sites and I'll let you know the out come.

I did, I've tried the Publisher program where they sell text links for your site or directory. So far they have sold 2 text links for my directory. $25.00/month per link. 50/50 so they pay you 12.50/month per link.

Thats funny, they would be better off paying for a featured spot in the directory. Glad that it has worked out so far. Did you use the calculator they provide? and if so are you getting close to the amount they predicted?

It's different than them buying a featured link just like the advertisements on the footer of my directory because, 1st off they are a home page link which is a PR5 and they also appear on all pages in the directory.

Yes I have used the calculator, and it showed above my footer being $28.00 and below $16.00 and they are in my footer so it's really close if you ask me.

I tried this with another company, the name of which I can't remember, but wasn't real happy with the results. The price varies for different key words. I'me trying to rank on some ambitions key words "Burlington real estate" and Vermont real estate, and these terms were too expensive for me. the terms i did pick didn't result in much traffic and they don't help with page rank so I dropped it after a few months. Give it a shot, you may have better luck than Idid.

I just received my first payment from Text-Link-ads I use them to sell links for my site. To date they have sold 7 text links for the bottom of my directory. They sold the links for $25.00 a link per month. It's a 50/50 split so I get $12.50 a month per link. If you have a site with good PR it is a good way to make a little extra money.

since we started a couple of months ago we have earned $28.62 for 71 clicks. not bad. I know it won't be an overnight thing. Wink

It's based on a monthly amount not per click, You have to submit you site for review and see if they except you. I think they look at Alexa ratings and Google Page Rank. My directory is a PR5 so every link they sell is $25.00, it's a 50/50 split so right now they have sold 7 links. They do pay faster that Adsense, You will receive payment every month. I have mine set up through my paypal account and I received my money for June a couple days into July. Click Here to submit your site for review.

Update on Text-Link-Ads, They sell 8 on my home page of one directory and now have sold 3 on the home page of my other directory US Real Estate Agents. The have even sold on on an interior page of this directory, the Alabama State Page.

Has anyone done the other side of this where you buy the links from them?? You can purchase some good high page rank links from them.

You can also try selling links on Linkadage. Ads are sold via Auction for a small fee. I have spents thousands on ads from text-link-ads in the past. If you are doing it for traffic from the sites the links are placed on you won't get your moneies worth, or at least I didn't. But, it does help with search results and pr value.

An update on Text-Link-Ads, I have been hearing some bad things about using Text-Link-Ads. Google is cracking down on those types of links and I believe that there is some penalties that are being issued for using them. Has anyone ran into this?
