The topic for this week is Improving your websites rankings. Anybody want to add some thoughts on this?
I'd like to add that One way links are really important in Improving your websites rankings. Search Engines look at One Way Links with more importance than reciprocal links. Find Directories out there that have a category for Real Estate and add your site to the directory. Some Directories even give free One Way Links. _________________ Thanks for joining US Real Estate Directory !!! Check out our Blog, that is open to the members to announce their real estate site!!!

One ways have been a topic I keep talking about, but so many site owners are to cheap to spend $10-100 for a listing. They would rather give a homepage link away then part with a few bucks.
Links are still the most important factor in Google, but it's quality links. _________________ Real Estate Agents visit our blog to for information about how to grow your business.

Quality anchor text links from high PR sites.
The longer the better. That goes for the link on the site, as for the site on the web. |

There are many aspects of a website which will affect its' search engine rankings.
Yes, links are important but they're are not a panacea for a badly optimised or content-poor website.
Do some research on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and update your website accordingly. Page titles, description, keywords, h1 tags, unique content are all massively important.
There's no shortcut - time and hardwork are needed.
Good luck. |

Rachel, your list looks good but I would recommend checking out your link partners thoroughly. Don't link to just anyone but also don't worry if they don't have low PR because you never know what they are doing behind the scenes and next year they could be an authority. _________________ Boise Idaho Real Estate Services and find what I think about Boise at Boise Idaho Blog |

I agree that Rachel's list is good. Ignore spam and websites that offer to submit your website to hundreds of search engines. At best these are wastes of time or money and at worst they can actually hurt your ranking.
1) Keyword Phrases - stick to one subject per page, and stick to one keyword phrase per page.
2) Density - use natural phrasing. Don't try to trick the search engine by repeating the same word over and over or making text "invisible." It doesn't work.
3) Name Your Pages - give your pages a descriptive name with the <title> tag.
4) Link Early, Link Often - use links within web pages as a way to emphasise keywords.
5) Submit Your Site to the Right Directories
6) Make Your Graphics Search Friendly
7) Good Design Is Popular Design _________________ Miami Real Estate |
