| Can some one comment on what are the criterias for google crawling frequency and how can one increase that. |

Google will crawl your site more frequently as your site ages and you get links to your site.

Get links from site that is frequently updated like forums, blogs and bookmarking site. To increase your indexed pages in google submit sitemap in google webmaster tools.

Yep. I would start by submitting an xml sitemap to googles webmaster tools, then begin adding content frequently, if you blog post daily or something. The more often you post the more often google will come back to update so that they don't get to bogged down on each visit.
The age and stature of your site also makes a big difference. Most of my sites are updated about two times a week or so.

Google is my favorite search engine. It is like the most challenging task to rank well in Google and their algorithym is always changing. I agree with the advice here. Blog often... If you don't have a blog start one and use pingomatic to update.
You should also add some fresh content to your site on a regular basis, if it makes sense, or update older pages that aren't ranking well. The SERPS like new fresh content.
