Unfortunatley, my site is still in the "sandbox", and no pagerank has been awarded yet, Im hoping it will be soon!

Jenn,

I used a page rank prediction tool at http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction and it shows your site will be a 5 (4.7) on the next update. I used this tool on my directory a couple of months ago right before the last update and http://www.us-realestatedirectory.com showed a 5 and that is what it was on the last update. Keep getting them links and as many one ways as possible.

Thanks for letting us know about the prediciotn tool. I just tried my page and the tool said it is unable to determine. Any thoughts why this is so? Figuring this out may help me get a better page rank.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

How old is your site? My directories said that for the first month. If your site is not to new, I suggest you go out and try to get as many links to your site as you can.

I wouldn't say as many links as you can...get quality links and do it over time.

Ken is right on this, you need to get quality links and keep getting them. Don't just get a bunch and stop, but yes make sure they are quality links. I just meant you need to start getting them if you haven't already started.

Here is what I have done on every site I have created. Besides links, it is very important to have text on your page that matches your meta tags.

For example. Meta Tag Detroit Real Estate

Text on Home page My name is Bill and I specialize in Detroit real estate.

There are a million examples for this but I thought I would give you an easy one. Simply make sure that each page has it's own meta tags, and the tags match the text and title of the page.

Another thing. It is very important to update your website often. I update mine every other week. Sometimes it's just changing a few lines, and other times I add new pages, text, and pictures.

Hope this helps.

The tol seems to still be working for me, it may be a little off. It says this directory will be a pr 5 on the next update, but it has been saying that for a few months. There was also a PR update last weekend and it didn't move from a 4 to a 5, but my state pages went back up to pr4.
