I thought about using google adwords as it has worked well for another agent I know. Has anyone else used adwords? Any suggestions for increasing your links fast?
Thanks,

adwords IMO shouldn't be on an agent site in places that a visitor actually would visit. For the few bucks you get you might loose one deal that would cost you WAY more than you will earn.
As for fast, DON'T do it that way. Build quality links over a period of time and you will rank. Do it fast and have fun in the sandbox. _________________ Real Estate Agents visit our blog to for information about how to grow your business.

Ken was talking about Adsence, not Adwords. I do know some agents that use Adwords and it works out well for them. When you sent up adwords you just have to make sure you set up good campains and your landing pages where the ad goes is relevant to the ad.
Adsense is different, Ken is right about Adsense for an Agent site. I feel the only good place for Adsense on an agents site is in the Links pages or their directory of relocation partners. Depending on your rankings you might not make to much. If you rank well with Google and your rlocation page rank well than you can make some good money. _________________ Thanks for joining US Real Estate Directory !!! I set up two campaigns yesterday. One for link exchange with other agents and the other buyers. Reading the last post gave me an idea to set-up another campaign for relocation. I need to develop a better landing page for relocation first. My thoughts on the adword campaign for link exchanges would help speed up the recruiting process.
On another subject, I have a brand new site and have no google ranking. I have been busy setting up backlinks and link exchanges when it suddenly occurred to me that I maybe putting the cart before the horse. My idea is to set-up 50 quality links, then submit my site to the search engines. I thought this might help me with PR and would speed up the process.
I have recently submitted my site to DMOZ and several real estate directories with the hopes that the several weeks that pass by before my site is added would give me some time to develop links. Is my thinking on this insccurate? Should I be submitting my site anyway? |

lol, that is what happens when you rush.
shubbard, no need to submit to any SE's, that is bogus VERY outdated info you got. Just wait for them to find your site from a link on another site. Get a link from these directories (paid one ways would be the best) and you will get indexed very quickly. PR in the toolbar will only come when the next update happens and that could be a while.
DMOZ is unlikely to do anything with your site as they have lost many of the editors. Submit to them and then forget about it, not worth worring about.
Good luck. |

| Glad you found it to be a helpful resource. If you have a spot that other agents will be visiting it would be great if you could link to the blog. Trying to get the word out to agents and other agetns sites is about the best spot for it. Many link from their resources page or main directory page as a lot of agents look at other agents links pages. |

I have used adwords. I got mixed results, but it gave my business more exposure overall. _________________ Trying to find a home refinance loan. |

Adwords is a pay per click ads. It is use for instant traffic but if you want to increase links adwords is not the solution. Try to get more links from related site and use your targeted keywords as anchor text. _________________ real estate philippines #1 Golf course in the philippines
